Keeping Mum
As
part of the churches commitment to the Millennium Development Goals
the Diocese of Lincoln are focussing their attention on
Millennium Development Goal number 5 - Improving Maternal Health.
As part of their Keeping Mum Campaign they held a U2charist service on Saturday 21st March 2009. and raised funds for Maternity Worldwide.
"Enabling mothers to give birth safely is one way of making a major difference to life chances in some of the poorest countries. Mothering Sunday is just the right time to support the Keeping Mum Campaign, and I encourage Churches across the Diocese to do what they can for this very worthwhile cause."
