Ethiopia Bike Ride Challenge 2008

Saturday November 1st to Thursday November 13th

14 intrepid adventurers took part in the Ethiopia Bike Ride Challenge 2008. They were able to make a real difference to the lives of women in Africa, whilst at the same time having an incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable personal experience.

The bike riders travelled from the capital Addis Ababa to Gimbie, in the west, covering a distance the equivilant distance from Brighton to Manchester. Gimbie is the location of one of our projects and the cyclists were able to see exactly where the money they raised was going. The trip was approximately 350km and took place over 6 days though the beautiful, mountainous and lush green region of Oromia.
