Please help to ensure that women across the world can give birth safely. Even a small amount can make a huge difference.

Every day nearly 1000 women die in pregnancy and childbirth, that’s 358,000 mothers each year. Most live in the poorest countries in the world.

The average cost of a delivery by a trained professional in a hospital in Ethiopia is only £15. To most people in the developed world this is a small price; to people in Western Ethiopia for example, where the average yearly wage is only £110 (US$185),  it is often unaffordable.
