Fundraising for Maternity Worldwide

Corporate fundraising

Donations from companies to help support our work are very welcome. Reducing maternal mortality is now top of the international health agenda on a par with HIV/AIDS. Maternity Worldwide now has the mechanisms in place to help to tackle this issue. Working with the charity, companies would be able to show to customers, governments and partners that they are actively involved in Corporate Social Responsibility.

There is particular scope for developing partnerships with companies active in the niche area around women, pregnancy and childbirth. This would include grants and donations, sponsorship of events and help with fundraising (for example collection boxes in shops).

There are opportunities for company advertising. For example, the charity now has good links with professional organisations and is contacting all maternity units in the country to offer them a Maternity Unit Resource Pack.

Maternity Worldwide is also keen to be considered by companies as part of Employment Giving payroll schemes. This is an excellent, tax efficient way for employees to support our work.
