Maternity Worldwide Annual General Meeting

This year's AGM took place on 14th October 2006.

The day was an opportunity to showcase Maternity Worldwide's achievements in 2005-2006. The Annual Report and year end accounts were presented together with the recommendations from an Organisational Review by the Charities Aid Foundation (which took place in spring/summer 2006 following a successful grant application). Our Ethiopia Country Director, Ruth Lawson, was back in UK and gave an emotive presentation on progress to date at our West Wollega project. We were also able to launch our new look website and reveal the new advertisement developed in partnership with SPIRIT Advertising.

We were privileged to have a wide range of attendees from Maternity Worldwide and its partners, all of whom made a valuable contribution to developing the strategy and business plan for the year ahead.

Please email info@maternityworldwide.org if you would like a copy of our Annual Report and Accounts.

The AGM was followed with an equally successful fancy dress fundraising party, which helped to fund our Ethiopia Bike Ride Challenge. Fairies, cowboys and Greek Goddesses were amongst the outfits! Thanks to everyone for their contributions and for making such a wonderful effort with the costumes.
